Finding Inspiration and Reaching
Excellence is a two-day personal development event conference designed for high school
freshman and sophomores. Held in conjunction with the Wyoming Vocational Agriculture
Teachers Association, the conference is usually conducted in November. The
conference is presented by a professional facilitator, with help from the Wyoming State
FFA Officers.
Through FIRE, members will
develop their skills and talents in personal growth and leadership. Activities will
help students hone their talents in time management, communications, teamwork and
organization. Through fun, interactive learning, members will discover the many
growth opportunities in FFA while setting personal goals and making friends.
Benefits of the FIRE:
Students will understand that they are made for
excellence, not mediocrity

completing a talent assessment, relating the results to their talents and describing how
to utilize them
Students will identify skills needed and desired for
success and determine sources and methods to gain those skills
Students will determine their will by assessing
personal interests and explaining the components of motivation
Students will describe success as excellence meeting
opportunity
Students will set goals for success
Students will identify choices needed to utilize
available opportunities within FFA, high school, careers, and other organizations
